About Wilder K9
Training built around real life, not ideal scenarios.
Training built around real life, not ideal scenarios.
I didn't get into training because everything came easy.
I got into it by working through challenges with my own dogs and learning what it takes to build a relationship that holds up day to day.
Hi, I'm Becka. I'm the trainer behind Wilder K9.
I've been on the side of feeling frustrated, overwhelmed, and unsure what to do next. Trying different approaches, getting mixed advice, and still feeling stuck.
That experience shaped how I approach training now. Not as a fixed system, but as something that adapts to the dog, the owner, and the life they're living together.
I started Wilder K9 to offer a more practical, relationship-based approach.
One that focuses on understanding behavior, building clear communication, and creating something that works outside of a session.
The goal isn't perfection.
It's a dog you understand, a dog you can live with, and a relationship you trust.
My keeper.
Intuitive, independent, and just stubborn enough to keep me honest.
She doesn't love being center of attention, and that's okay.
She taught me how important it is to meet a dog where they are and the power of advocating for your dog.
My chaos and my clarity.
The kind of dog who needs clear edges to feel safe.
He pushed me to understand behavior, not manage it.
He's intense, expressive, and honest. He's the reason I do this work the way I do and the inspiration behind the mission.
My work focuses on communication, practical skills, and helping you understand your dog's behavior in a way that makes sense in your day-to-day life.
We're not working in a bubble.
Training happens in your home, your routines, and the situations you're dealing with every day.
I look at the full picture.
Not only what you're seeing on the surface, but what's driving it and how to address it in a way that supports your dog's mental and emotional well-being.
I trust dogs to be who they are.
Every dog is an individual, with their own temperament, tendencies, and limits. Not every dog is naturally confident, social, or easygoing, and that matters. Progress doesn't look the same for every dog, and it doesn't look the same for every owner. Learning takes time, mistakes are part of the process, and growth happens when both are given space to learn.
Training isn't about forcing a dog to fit an ideal.
It's about building skills that work with who they are, while helping them navigate the work more successfully.
Everything is tailored to you and your dog.
What you're dealing with, what you're capable of applying, and building something that works and lasts.
This isn't about running through commands, quick fixes, or one-size solutions.
Everything we do is built around your dog, your environment, and what you're actually dealing with day to day.
You won't be left trying to figure things out on your own or wondering what to do next. You'll have clear guidance, practical homework, self-assessments, and a plan that makes sense for your life.
The goal isn't just a trained dog.
It's a dog you understand, a dog you can fully enjoy, and a relationship you trust.
I've worked with a range of dogs and owners, from puppies to more complex behavior challenges.
My experience comes from hands-on work, continued learning, and applying what works in real situations.
This includes work with reactivity, integration, and building foundational skills for long-term success.
I focus on keeping things practical, ethical, realistic, and adaptable so you're not left with something that only works in theory.
